when does it change to 2?
i hope we dont have to pay the game 9 times to get to level 9?

Not sure what you think armageddon mode is, but its just new game +. As is you play the game again with items/stats/upgrades you got from the first playthrough. Each level of armageddon mode is just another playthrough where it gets harder each time till level 9.

i thought it might be like the Crucible where you fight through different levels
ill replay the game all over again at Arma 1 to get the Achievo but ill pass on playing it another 8 times to get to level 9

I don't think so because Changing difficulty in new game plus didn't warned me of voiding the achievement like previously. So it probably won't count and something they overlooked so your best bet is to start a new game.

are we also saying that starting NG+ in Arma mode will not pop the new achievo?

i started NG+ on Arama 1 and spent several hrs on it already

im going to finish this and see if the achievo pops
the description says its a NG+ mode
and so i began a NG+ in Arma mode
would be rediculous if achievo dosent pop

If it doesn't work due to changing the difficulty on your first NG+, before you fight Envy in said first NG+, up the difficulty to Apocalyptic. Beat Envy, choose to proceed to Armageddon 2. You are now in Apocalyptic difficulty from the start of a new game, with all of your boosts and gear (basically). That ought to do it. You'll still need to complete NG+ a second time, but hey-ho. Some of us had to do it from scratch.
Otherwise, just start an entirely new game in Apocalyptic difficulty in a new save slot.
you just finish the game first time and it prompt you to start Armageddon mode and you can change the difficulty level.
I have another question though. The weapon doesn't carry through like other RPG games. It seemed to be good that it is a challenge to obtain the weapons again. However, Force and Stasis hollow can only be obtained later in the game, which means they don't get to use them much because it is near end of the game. And when you finish the game you lose all the weapons again. Only the Flame and Storm hollows get to use more often. I don't understand why it work this way. What do you think?
Cos it's time and resource consuming process to do anything besides start the game over again but at least you keep enchantments and upgrades
